Basel – French designer and interior architect Noé Duchaufour-Lawrance has created a collection of LED-lit pieces that convey a sense of nature called Naturoscopie.
Presented by Galerie BSL at Design Miami/ Basel, the collection includes two coffee tables containing a lighting system to look like a photographic black box. The LED lights within project a moving image reminiscent of natural light phenomena such as the aurora borealis.
‘It is nature without using wood. It’s not a literal way to show it, it’s a new nature,’ Duchaufour-Lawrance tells LS:N Global.
The gentle movement of the light provides a sense of calm and reflection that makes the collection a great example of our Sublime Materiality design direction.
