Secret cinema: Agency uses interactive story

10.06.2012 Advertising : Canada : Ubiquitous Gaming Culture

Toronto – Canadian interactive agency Secret Location has relaunched its website with a multilayered interactive narrative, The Sevens, to showcase the expertise that it can offer its clients.

The Sevens combines film-style narrative with interactive gaming, by asking site visitors to complete three virtual puzzles from the perspective of the lead character, Julie. If completed successfully, the final puzzle unlocks an alternative ending.

‘We’re always experimenting from a technological standpoint, but where we’re really trying to experiment more is where that technology meets story,’ Secret Location founder and executive producer James Milward told Co.Create.

Created with writer and filmmaker José Avelino Gilles Corbett Lourenço, this project indicates an increased interest in developing narratives to attract consumer attention. See how this has been applied in film promotion by reading our Weyland Industries innovate.
