US – To accommodate the needs of consumers as seasons change and family members grow up, graduate designer Matthew Plumstead created the Clip Tree, a configurable coat hanger, rack and shelving unit.
Constructed from maple and steel, the Clip Tree comes equipped with rubber components that can be attached to the four wooden posts at different heights, allowing family members of different sizes to hang up their coats, keys or even mobile phone with ease.
The design is also an expression of how our belongings reflect our identity, explains Plumstead: ‘By assembling a person’s key belongings in a logical fashion that corresponds to the body, you suddenly imbue that object with a personal spirit or personality.’
