Paris – Architect firms Valode & Pistre and Agence Search have designed a shopping centre concept called the New Beaugrenelle, which aims to attract a clientele that increasingly shops online.

The interior of the mall will feature an oval lattice structure suspended over the central atrium of the shopping centre’s connected tiers. ‘In today’s increasingly competitive environment, the architecture of shopping malls has come to play a fundamental role in their commercial success,’ says an Agence Search press statement. ‘Architecture can distinguish the shopping environment to create a sense of specificity, of differentiation.’

As shopping online becomes more prevalent among consumers, brands and store-owners need to make their in-store experiences more alluring. For ways to do this, read our Tomorrow Store macrotrend.
