Fesser’s aim was to ‘create objects that are not passive but alive, furniture that connects with people and the room, that is adaptable to spaces of different sizes and personal needs’.

One cushion can be used as an ottoman. A set of two cushions with legs attached forms a chair, and adding more cushions and legs makes a sofa. The Woonling Pillow can be attached to the chairs with its own set of strings, while the Woonling Table, with its removable tabletop, can be used to store spare pieces from the collection.
