Someren, The Netherlands – Taggie, a new iPhone app concept, is designed to educate children about food products and their origins.
Created by Dutch design student Niels van Hoof, the app takes a picture of a tag on the food label, then shows a film on how the fruit or vegetable grows or what kind of animal the meat comes from. The child can also scroll through information on where the species lives.
This is a well-executed way of introducing children to the origins of food. This kind of education would appeal to the Rurbanites.
