Tokyo – Italian fashion brand Costume National has opened a new flagship store that is also home to an exhibition called Costume National: 25 Years.
The exhibition space, created by designer Ryuji Nakamura, uses 4,000m of polyester ribbon. This functions like a lenticular print, appearing translucent or opaque depending on where the visitor stands.
The result is that visitors can see only one piece at a time, highlighting the various styles the brand has created over the years.
