New York – Diners will have a different experience each month at the restaurant What Happens When in New York.
Created by Metrics Design Group, the eating venue will be open for nine months and will be redesigned every 30 days. The lighting, colour, seating and menu will change and the restaurant aims to provide visitors with a convivial dining experience.
Each makeover or ‘movement’ will be mapped out on the floor in red tape, to record the transformations along the way. A grid of hooks has been fitted to the ceiling for various light and spatial installations. ‘The February theme will explore an aesthetic that is opulent and colourful,’ says Metrics designer Elle Kunnos de Voss.
LS:N Global is increasingly reporting on flexible spaces to create conviviality and curiosity among consumers.
