Paris – During the private viewing of the Meet My Projects show, part of the Maison & Objet exhibition, French food designer Delphine Huguet hosted a food design performance called Mutation.
‘I wanted to show a process and bring people together,’ Huguet tells LS:N Global. The performance consisted of a production line in which the frames of pairs of glasses were stencilled onto a wooden board in food puree. These were moved on to the next stage where arms for the frames made from chocolate were carefully set in position and pushed towards the audience. Participants could then dip the chocolate arms into strawberry or mango puree. Large wooden slabs encouraged people to share and interact with one another.
The entertaining live production involving guests is in keeping with our Conviviality Culture macro trend.
Look out for our forthcoming review of Maison & Objet exhibition in Paris.
