Cologne – A board of designers and editors, including Marco Velardi of interiors magazine Apartamento and Spanish architect Patricia Urquiola, have identified what they believe to be the key interior trends for 2011 as part of an exhibition at the interior design fair IMM Cologne.
The four trends – Emotional Austerity, Surprising Empathy, Re-Balancing and Transforming Perspectives – are each represented by an installation at IMM’s Pure Village.
A member of the Trend Board has interpreted each area, and lectures are scheduled throughout the event, designed to provide guests with insights on material, pattern, colour and function.
The Interior Trends 2011 exhibition is in hall 3.2, stand A-011.
LS:N Global’s visual trends researcher Julian Ellerby will be reporting from the show throughout the week.
