Late Night Chameleon Café in London, better known as LN-CC, is a carefully curated space in which shoppers are taken on a journey of discovery. The recently redesigned Unagi store in Yanagawa by Toru Shimokawa of STAD looks to the traditional method of cooking eels using charcoal as his visual drive for the interior. I like the aesthetic reference to charcoal and the use of burnt and carbonised cedar to achieve this effect.
