Chertsey, UK – Today’s smartphones can be complicated. But instead of searching manuals with pages and pages of small print there is now a simpler way to learn how to use your new mobile phone.
Out of the Box is the result of a year-long collaboration between Samsung Design Europe, Vitamins design and Helen Hamlyn Centre. After opening the box, users simply open the book inside and place the phone in cut-away holes. Arrows then demonstrate where various parts such as the SIM card, battery and case will fit on the phone.
Once the phone has been assembled, a second book provides instructions on how to choose the right settings. LS:N Global has previously reported on Samsung’s clever solutions for people who are less able. One example is a camera for visually impaired people.
