Our team of experts presented our latest consumer tribes, the Holistic Athletes and the Beauty Mavericks, and unveiled our special report on Total Beauty, which explores the most exciting developments in the sector including the equal importance of internal and external beauty, and the cross-sector convergence of the cosmetics, wellness and food and drink industries.

We also heard from Sharmadean Reid from WAH Nails, who spoke about creating the beauty salon of the future, as well as Penny Grivea, UK and Ireland managing director of Rituals, who explained how using mindfulness is a way to connect with customers on a deeper level. Creative director of Make Ariana Mouyiaris discussed creating a relatable aesthetic using memorable stories, relevant imagery and sharable content.

Helen McGee, head of marketing at 3INA, talked about the brand’s philosophy of real, accessible beauty, while Birchbox UK managing director Savannah Sachs spoke about expanding beyond the subscription retail model to become a full-spectrum retailer.
