Celebrating the present golden age of design in Singapore, Foreign Policy Design Group pays homage to 17 iconic homegrown brands in a lovingly compiled scrapbook reminiscent of Shanghai’s Lost magazine.

Brought to life with folding pages and maps, and neatly presented in a charming folder, Brand Guide: Singapore Edition is full of inspirational anecdotes from the people behind the brands and captures the creative labours that have led to the success of each.

‘The past few years have seen a proliferation of interesting shops, restaurants, hotels and more,’ says Yah-Leng Yu, co-founder and creative director of Foreign Policy Design Group. ‘This has also given rise to a new breed of entrepreneurs who are changing the local landscape. Designers are given more freedom to create better work, work that is different.’

The Big Picture: Curious consumers are looking for new ways to experience cities. Check out Everlane’s Transparent City and Farfetch’s Discover for platforms that are helping people to gain a fresh perspective on the places around them.
