London – Cooking with Scorsese is a new book celebrating some of cinema’s greatest recipes.
Taking inspiration from the silver screen’s iconic moments, publishing house Hato Press has compiled a compendium of cinematic cuisine.
Highlights include Benny and Joon’s peanut butter and cereal milkshakes, tennis racquet mash gnocci and the aptly named explosive pissing beef balls from Stephen Chow’s film The God of Cookery.
The paper zine was launched with an interactive website inviting visitors to choose their favourite ingredients and watch as the drama unfolds in a tailored highlights reel. The London print and publishing house is also hosting a film screening-meets-supper club at the Peckham Refreshment Rooms where chefs will cook a range of treats from the film in a Sensory Splurge.
