This rocks: Stone showroom given gallery looks

03 : 02 : 2014 Showroom : Marble : Stone

Emek Hefer, Israel – Stone showrooms are usually white spaces with counters and tiles of different shades of the material. Italian architects Paritzki & Liani decided to make the space for the joint venture of stone producers Fervital and Antolini into a gallery of minerals, using the materials as the building blocks of the showroom.

All the walls and floors of the Fervital/Antolini Stone Gallery use a different stone – from marble to fire granite to obsidian – creating distinctive moods with the different juxtaposition of materials.

The geological cross-sections of the spaces bring to mind our Precise Precision design direction. We are seeing more interior spaces using stone in both interior and product design. The consideration of colour and placement turns the Stone Gallery from a simple store to an ode to the beauty of rocks.
