New York – Portable surfaces attached to street furniture are creating pop-up lunches in the avenues of the Big Apple. The ‘Pop Up Lunch’ mobile eating tools designed by Ali Pulver can be attached to walls and fire hydrants, and allow workers to reclaim the streets on their lunch break. The innovative idea – a new take on civic branding – begs to be adopted by the city’s coffee chains or sandwich shops.
