London – The UK-US ‘special relationship’ still exists – in retail at least. British luxury leather goods manufacturer Mulberry has joined forces with Apple to produce a range of high-end goods specifically designed to house iPhones, MacBooks and iPod Touches.
The designs take their cues from Mulberry classics such as the Bayswater bag for women and the Brynmore for men, neatly combining Mulberry’s heritage with the functionality consumers expect from Apple – including protective padding, extra pockets and headphone access.
When brands collaborate, it is essential they understand the qualities that each can bring to a project. This is a shining example of effective collaboration: using Mulberry’s expertise in bag design and Apple’s understanding of consumer needs.
