Cologne – Each year at the design trade fair IMM Cologne a designer is commissioned to create Das Haus, their vision of the ideal future home.
For the 2014 fair, Dutch designer Louise Campbell created a home that was filled with Minimal Harmony, using neutral colours, soft lighting and a layout that flows harmoniously.
Campbell’s installation is a shingle-sided house with no interior walls. Instead there are soft fabrics that can be rolled up and down when dividing space is needed. It is a home ‘for him and her, for slow and fast, soft and hard, light and dark, colour and material – with a tranquil space in the middle where everything fits together with some quirks, but no conflicts,’ says Campbell.
