Brooklyn, New York – The Iron Society is a private barber’s club in Greenpoint run by Chris DeSanty. Having grown up in machine shops, DeSanty’s aesthetic is old-school barber mixed with mechanic, and his line of pomades show it.
Hand-made in Brooklyn, The Iron Society’s grooming products look rustic, rugged and modern.
The Iron Society has a short client list to enable DeSanty to forge personal relationships with his customers. It is much like the barbers of yesteryear, where male grooming was not only a necessity, but also a social ritual. The entire brand is steeped in nostalgia, but without being kitsch.
