Sound design: Turning songs into furniture

To create the Landscape of Sound collection, Sellers took digital readings of music and translated the 2D visualisation of the sound into a 3D form. Using a CNC machine, Sellers then warped planks of wood so that their surface represented the dips in sound frequency and intensity. The name of the song that informed the table’s shape is engraved into its surface, while the chair bears the Landscape of Sound logo.
