Seoul – Designer Seung-Yong Song has created the Objet collection of chairs that challenges people’s relationship to furniture and how they use it.
‘This is not a study of shape and function, but a process that can draw out communication between objects and human beings,’ says Seung-Yong.
The collection includes the Objet-O chair, which creates a personal space for the person seated. A large lampshade made out of traditional Korean paper encloses the chair to the arms. Another piece, Objet-B, can be interpreted as a shelving unit.
