Geelong, Victoria – Australian winery Between Five Bells is producing wines that share detailed growing information on their labels.
The winery’s latest marketing strategy aims to promote a policy of transparency in winemaking. The labels detail much of the recipe, as well as the lowest and highest growing temperatures, pH values, baume values, destemmed percentage, whole berry percentage and number of days of pre- and post-ferment maceration for each of the blended varietals in a detailed infographic.
‘I’m not sure we’re changing the face of Australian wine. I imagine we’ll need to make a lot more to do that. But I’m confident there are few, if any, other wineries that have the same goals as us,’ reads a statement on the Between Five Bells website.
