Cast iron design: Dixon on a Roll for Milan

Milan – Industrial designer Tom Dixon will unveil Cast, a multipurpose chair constructed with cast iron legs, during Milan Design Week in April. The legs are bolted to the seat and backrest, which is made from thick foam.

Since the parts fit into the seat, it can easily be deconstructed and shipped out. Dixon will also present Roll, a series of coffee tables, with a base also made from cast iron.
