All at sea: New hotel makes waves on luxury

22 : 03 : 2011 Pattaya : Thailand : Department Of Architecture

Pattaya, Thailand – Bangkok-based studio Department of Architecture has unveiled a new luxury hotel, Hilton Pattaya.

The hotel is designed around abstract notions of the sea, with features that mimic movements and patterns of underwater landscapes. Corridors and transition areas and otherwise empty spaces are designed to engage guests. Layers of fabric in light colours mimic the surface of the ocean and floating day beds create a hideaway for visitors.
