The best of 2010: The top three luxury quotes of the year

UK – Instead of the best three luxury Seed stories, I have picked my favourite quotes from luxury experts from 2010.

‘We travel globally, but tread lightly and always leave a positive impression,’ said Chris Cudahy, head of communications at Dunhill, at the LS:N Global and Dunhill Network Event.

‘Luxury is not a checklist, it’s a state of mind and highly personal,’ said Klara Glowczewska, editor-in-chief at Condé Nast Traveler, in Cannes in December.

The final word must go to Hublot chairman, Jean-Claude Biver, as he accepted the International Luxury Brand award at the Walpole Awards for Excellence. ‘How can you leave a trace behind you? You leave a trace of love,’ he declared. ‘Love is eternal. Love never dies. Money goes and money flies. And you must leave a second trace – of your passion.’

Every day from 20 December until the end of the year, the LS:N Global team is choosing its favourite stories from 2010. We will resume normal service on Tuesday 4 January 2011.
