Los Angeles – With its neon lighting and highball cocktails, this bar celebrates a casual speakeasy aesthetic.
While cocktails have traditionally been synonymous with luxury, The Slipper Clutch introduces a new take on the drink, focusing on pre-batched highball combinations such as gin and tonic, vodka and cranberry and 7 and 7s. The bar harnesses an 1980s-inspired dive-bar aesthetic, with visitors able to play on pinball machines.
Janel Wright Design has created a space that combines unfinished cement walls with mismatched floors and neon lights to create a laid-back atmosphere. Located in downtown Los Angeles, the bar is inconspicuously hidden behind another drinking spot, Bar Clacson, and customers can enter through an alleyway, further giving the bar a low-key feel.
