UK – Marks & Spencer has created an interactive map to enable customers to see where its products are made.
The map is designed to engage customers with the retailer’s supply chain process and demonstrate its knowledge of the inner workings of its international operations.
‘We want the map to be a useful and engaging tool that provides our customers and Plan A stakeholders with what they want to know about the products they buy from Marks & Spencer,’ explains Emily Dimmock, Marks & Spencer corporate PR and communications manager.
The map is part of the retailer’s ethical sustainability project Plan A, which comprises a series of Whole-system, long-term objectives designed to drive the brand towards its vision of becoming a truly sustainable and environmentally conscious company.
Brands are inspecting each aspect of their supply chain to ensure that they are transparent and in control. For more, read our Whole-chain Thinking microtrend.
