Wyse guys: Ready meals that you want to eat

25 : 02 : 2014 Wyse Organics : Ready Meals : Organic

Southampton, New York – Wyse Organics is a ready meal food company. But unlike typical ready meals, the flavours and packaging of which leave a lot to be desired, Wyse Organics meals are organic, seasonal and made from local ingredients.

The company, co-founded by Chef Allan Wyse, offers meals that are all carefully prepared by hand and cooked using the sous-vide – vacuumed packed – method, making them easy to freeze and even easier to cook. All that is required is to boil the bag of food in water for 10 minutes.

Wyse Organics was established in the Hamptons in 2012, but from this autumn its products will be available in Manhattan. The convenience of pre-packaged food is often weighed against its lesser quality, but Wyse Organics combines convenience with the benefits of home cooking. Prices start at $7.50 per dish.

More companies are offering consumers convenience but not at the expense of quality. For more, read our Innovate on grocery store Bilder & De Clercq.
