The exhibition, Another Perspective, will examine how rooms are no longer used as single spaces, but as multi-purpose areas. The show, curated by manufacturer Cotto, focuses on bathrooms, and features pieces from five designers that showcase their interpretations of the bathroom experience.

The exhibition includes Lavanity by Thinkk Studio, which shows how a sink and a vanity area can be united into a multi-functional space. With a mirror, a sink, pouches for make-up, a chair and a vanity desk, the space is designed to minimise redundant space. The different elements are all connected to a frame. With its pared-down aesthetic, the piece is sophisticated yet practical.

Other pieces in the exhibition include Bug by Rui Pereira and Ryosuke Fukusada, Signs by Jeremy Murier and Daniel Martinez, Mobile Library and Mobile Laundry by Studio 248 and Jakkapun Charinrattana and Un-Separation by Studio 248 and Purim Kraiya.

The exhibition will be held at Milan Design Week from 9 to 14 April. For more on exhibits this year, read our Milan 2013 Preview.
