Ko-faced: Asian restaurant is full of character

Paris – Gregory Bonner Hale has designed his new Asian restaurant around the theme of a fictitious character called Miss Ko, a young, attractive yet mysterious woman who is said to embody the region’s traditions.

A naked Miss Ko is shown with her head in the shadows and a full body tattoo created by tattoo artist Horikitsune. The Miss K? graphics appear on the restaurant’s business cards and main menu, while the other menus are designed as her personal possessions.

The cocktail menu is Miss Ko’s private sketchbook, with each cocktail designed on one of her friends, while the dessert menu details images of her as a child. The restaurant’s logo is depicted with nine grains of rice, with each grain representing the different countries that inspired the menu. Brands are increasingly embracing fictional characters to attract consumers, using Faction (Fact and Fiction) landscapes to plant stories into the real world.
