New York – A new Constrvct app will enable consumers to design, print and sell their own fashion collection online.
Due to be launched in October, Constrvct will let users upload their own photographs or designs and apply them to a variety of silhouettes. Once they are happy with how an outfit looks, they can place an order and put the design into production.
All designs uploaded to Constrvct will be public and sharable, enabling consumers to buy clothes designed by their friends and family. Constrvct will also act as a platform for discovering new talent.
In the open-source era, more consumers want to hack and play with existing products. Constrvct is a great way for people to apply their own textile designs to existing garments. For examples of consumers creating their own products, read our 3DIY Culture microtrend.
