London – International shoppers now have a reason to get out and spend. SHOP magazine, by Global Refund, the company that promotes tax-free shopping in countries around the world, is doing its bit to nudge retail sales with a pocket-sized guide aimed at the affluent spender. Complete with maps of the best shopping areas and articles from leading style writers, the magazine, designed by Studio8 Design, is an all-encompassing bible for your next city break.
‘SHOP aims to be the ultimate luxury traveller publication,’ says editor-in-chief Emma Cheevers. ‘There’s a palpable retro feel, but it also feels completely modern, and unlike anything on the market.’
Initially rolling out in airport lounges and hotels across London, the biannual magazine will next make its way to the emerging hubs of Istanbul and Singapore. Global Refund aims to have SHOP available in 45 countries by 2012.
