US – A new start-up called Instaprint is connecting with photo-sharing platform Instagram through photo printers, to rent or buy, that act as miniature photo booths.
The printers are wifi-enabled, and create Polaroid-style photos of Instagram pictures sent to them via hashtags or geo-tagged GPS coordinates. Images submitted also appear on Instaprint’s online gallery.
This is a way to take an online platform and make it tangible in the real world. For another response to the craving for analogue in an increasingly digital world, read our Impossible Project Innovate feature.
