New York, Meriden, Australia – LS:N Global produced its extensive Beauty Futures report this year, highlighting the most exciting and innovative products and market shifts in the beauty sector globally. My favourite beauty Seeds from the past year include a sensorial installation, a super-normal new product range, and a world’s first.
Cosmetics company Sephora’s collaboration with Firmenich to create pop-up museum Sensorium was a great example of how Synaesthetics can be used to inspire and delight with truly engaging experiences.
Dr Nicholas V Perricone’s new Super range is ‘simple but effective,’ at its very best. The makers took away the bad bits, such as dyes and chemicals, and replaced them with the active ingredients from superfoods. Even the packaging is environmentally sustainable, setting a great Brandstanding example to other brands.
And finally, a remarkable feat of beauty innovation, the Swallowable Parfum capsule by Lucy McRae and Sheref Mansy differs depending on the person’s genetics, temperature and emotion, making the product unique to whoever consumes it. An idea that definitely wowed the LS:N Global team in our daily editorial meeting.
Every day from 22 December until the end of the year, the LS:N Global team is choosing its favourite stories from 2011. We will resume normal service on 3 January 2012.
