Special Brew: Coffee concentrate delivery service launched

A bicycle cart delivers concentrated coffee in 16-ounce bottles. The coffee can then be diluted with water and milk to taste.

‘We use the same system as milkmen. At the beginning of the week we deliver to you and then we come back and refill your empty bottles,’ says Neal Olson, one of the founders of Kickstand.

Kickstand uses cold-brewed concentrate which the company says lasts longer than other cold-brewed coffees. Each week, Kickstand selects a different single-origin bean from coffee roaster Café Grumpy. ‘By changing the origins of our beans, we stay above the market value,’ says Olson.
