Paris – A cheese shop in Paris has received a makeover from the traditionally rustic aesthetic often used in delicatessens.
Created by Japanese architect studio Kotaro Horiuchi, the Salon du Fromage shop uses a super minimal interior. The all-white space, with its soft glow from the cheese-style lamps on the ceiling, is designed to encourage interaction, according to the architects.
Originally built in the 18th century, the narrow structure has a soft curved wall that divides the space into intimate cave-like rooms. A modular open kitchen also provides customers with a space to take part in wine tastings, classes and cheese seminars.
