Milan – Vivienne Westwood’s showcase for Milan menswear fashion week explored student themes and royal weddings, with a nod towards an extreme New Gent aesthetic for autumn/winter 2011.
Donning slicked back hair and crimson lips, models paraded the catwalk in a quirky mix of 50s tailoring, complete with bomber jackets, patterned knits, vintage Rolls-Royce printed fabrics and ankle-swinging denim, echoing the diverse attire of the dandy student.
‘Our MAN collection has plenty of choice,’ noted the grand dame of fashion before the show.
