Florence – Italian luxury brand Trussardi 1911 celebrated its centenary with an autumn/winter 2011/2012 collection crafted entirely from leather and aimed at the modern male.
Showing as guest designer at Pitti Immagine Uomo’s autumn/winter 2011/2012 show last week, creative director Milan Vukmirovic updated the luxury leather brand’s signature sportswear style with slick-belted suede coats, kid-leather button-down shirts and tuxedo-style jackets, also in mixed leather and suede.
Among the sleeveless shearling perfectos and military-style leather coats, the new mood encapsulated a more groomed, formal nod to the New Gents, a trend LS:N Global has identified for masculinity and an appreciation of refined menswear traditions.
