Liberec, Czech Republic – LS:N Global has recently reported on how public spaces are increasingly being redesigned. Now, a sauna has been built on an abandoned concrete platform on a city dam.
Created by Mjölk Architects, the sauna is constructed from 10 wooden frames, with aluminium insulation and plywood boards applied to the exterior. While the water looks cold, a peak through the glassed wall uncovers a refurbished wooden stove, which helps temperatures inside reach 100 degrees Celsius.
Providing a convivial moment, the sauna is open to everyone, free of charge. Visitors simply have to access it first by rowing boat.
