Camp Greenhouse: Exhibition hall fosters adventure

Stockholm – Known for straying from the typical white wood aesthetic of Scandinavian design, Note Design Studio created a space of whimsy for the Greenhouse hall exhibition at the Stockholm Furniture Fair 2014.

The Greenhouse exhibition features emerging designers from around the world, so Note wanted to create a space that was social and convivial. Taking references from camping and Adventurism, the studio created a central meeting space that resembled a tepee complete with branding that included a camp flag and seating inspired by sitting around a camp fire, and featuring blues and greens that would be found in nature.

‘Wherever the participants come from, all of them have packed their bags, travelled here and settled down to spend a few intense days sharing the adventure,’ says designer Johannes Karlström. ‘To put more focus on this meeting we came up with the concept of creating a great centrepiece in the hall referencing the big tent in the middle of a camp.’
