Bristol – French drinks company Pernod Ricard has enlisted the Breakthrough Innovation Group (BIG) to create the Project Gutenberg modular mixology concept, which enables people to order spirits online and discover new cocktails at home.
The concept comprises book-shaped cartridges that contain different spirits and slot together to form a smart optics unit. With an accompanying app, users can order spirits online and browse for new recipes.
‘With Project Gutenberg, we are utterly committed to the conviviality of the future: an experience that is connected, entertaining, tailored and responsible,’ says BIG managing director Alain Dufossé. ‘We are still only at a very early stage of the project, but the potential of dedicated products, services, personalised offers and experiences is infinite.’
This project shows Pernod Ricard’s commitment to a Homedulgent strategy, in which consumers are bringing entertainment home in order to save money while retaining a luxurious quality of life.
