London – A London-based advertising agency is to give something back to the local community – by offering its services free of charge in a pop-up store.

The three-day Idea Shop run by advertising agency Ogilvy starts today in South London’s Brixton Village Market. Ogilvy, whose client portfolio includes Ford and American Express, will give marketing advice to anyone who needs it, including local businesses, community projects, charities and art groups.

‘Marketing plays an essential role in the successes of any enterprise but these businesses can’t afford to employ communications professionals,’ says Ruth Jamieson, copywriter and founder of the scheme.
