London – British chef Mark Hix has opened Tramshed, a restaurant in Shoreditch that deliberately provides a minimum-choice menu.
The 8th restaurant opening under the Hix brand, Tramshed offers a menu that features just one seasonally changing sharing platter starter, a main course option of chicken or steak and a choice of only three puddings.
‘London is such a vast city of restaurants that I think people like the thought of not having to make any decisions, no choices,’ Hix tells LS:N Global.
In a world crowded with information, Tramshed’s minimum-choice menu indicates a consumer shift to a desire for a simpler lifestyle based on fewer decisions. Find out more by reading about Stuffocation in our Intuitive Futures macrotrend.
