Family Circle: Device gives parents control online

08 : 09 : 2013 Device : Technology : Control

Portland, Oregon – Circle is a device that lets parents control the amount and type of online content that family members consume through a slick, user-friendly iOS interface.

The device connects to a household router and indicates whether access to websites is allowed. Parents can control what websites their children can visit, and can put time limits on them, such as a 45-minute allowance on Facebook per day. It also enables users to turn off the internet all together, to have Circle time with their family without online distractions.

In the digital era, when children are more immersed in their screens than ever, Circle provides a way for parents to gain back some control and could play a vital role in the Future Family.
