Natural treasures: Vases in a different vein

Untitled Vases, which was exhibited at Depot Basel in Switzerland, consists of seven vases in earthen hues. To create the pieces, Wegwerth crafted the vases, broke them, and then grew crystals to repair them. The resulting veins and edges – created using bio-scientific-inspired processes – give the pieces an organic beauty reminiscent of geodes and gemstone caves.
