Over the moon: Phone skins are out of this world

19 : 07 : 2013 Iphone : Phone Cover : Phone Packaging

Seoul – South Korean creative collective Posh Craft has collaborated with design studio Realize to create a new iPhone5 skin that looks like it was carved from the surface of the moon.

The rugged Luna skins were created using concrete materials, giving them a worn, rocky texture similar to that of the Earth’s moon. Owing to the nature of the material, each Luna skin has different characteristics, lines, ripples and craters, ensuring that each skin is unique.

Many designers are drawing inspiration from the moon and its orbital path when creating new products such as lighting and furniture. To see more examples, see our Lunar Grace design direction.
