See the light: Musicians record on Sony smartphone

Sweden – Sony has helped two bands to produce creative promotional content for its new smartphone with a trip to the Arctic to see the Northern Lights. The company is using the resulting music and documentation of the project to show off its new Xperia Z. The striking natural scenery of the video gives it a New Sublimity feel, and the focus on process and technical details references our Re-enlightenment rising macrotrend.

Musicians from OK Go and Pyyramids invited photographers and creative contributors to join them on the trip and record their work on Sony’s smartphone and tablet series. As well as musical and photographic recording capabilities, the key point the brand is pushing is the connectivity between the devices in its Xperia series that enable creative collaboration and easy content-sharing.
