Moscow – Biostoria, a natural product store in Moscow, offers certified organic fresh produce in a convenience store environment.
Supermarkets are increasingly creating new formats that appeal to consumers’ demand for convenience and organic produce, as we reported in our Convenience Formats market insight.
Biostoria, designed by Frishmann, stocks a range of goods from fresh bread and pastries to detergents and cosmetics. About 90% of the produce has organic certification. The bread and pastries are prepared in the store’s own bakery and many products are sourced from Russian farmers.
All the materials used for the store’s décor are also natural, with the shelves made from pinewood and the panels from solid wood, reflecting the store’s ideals of sustainability, freshness and naturalness.
