Core message: Truck ad harks back to farm values

International – Chrysler’s So God Made a Farmer advertisement promoting its Ram trucks, which was shown during the Super Bowl, took viewers back to a simpler time to honour the American farmer.

Through biblical references and a montage of farming across America, the ad showed farmers to be both strong enough to plough the fields and clear trees, and gentle enough to tend a lamb. It highlighted the importance of the farmer and how living off the land is one of the foundations of the American nation.

The ad suggested that the Ram truck would take buyers back to this time of simplicity and back to the core of what America is all about.
